Cooptoberfest and Cooperstown on Tap


WCooptoberfeste’re proud to be the presenting sponsor for Cooptoberfest and Cooperstown on Tap on October 10! Our local Chamber of Commerce recently shared all the exciting event details. Take a look below and come join us on Main Street Columbus Day weekend.


On Saturday, October 10, the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Rotary Club of Cooperstown are happy to bring Cooptoberfest, presented by Brewery Ommegang, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Cooperstown’s Main Street, with after-parties to follow.  This event builds off of last year’s Cooperstown Field Day to bring a unique, fun filled family friendly event to Cooperstown’s historic Main Street.

9 a.m. thru 2 p.m – Cooperstown Farmer’s Market Opens with free games including Pumpkin Rolling, Scavenger Hunt, Gourd Car Racing, Hopscotch, Dairy Princess, and Vendors!

10 a.m. thru 4 p.m. – Kids Korner Opens (between traffic light and Doubleday Parking Lot) – Activities include, a bouncy house, inflatable obstacle course, 8 carnival games, “Touch A  Truck” for kids to take pictures and climb on vehicles featuring a dump truck, excavator, and fire truck, face painting, music and more for unlimited use for $5 per person.

–  Pumpkin Patch and Decorating Station

–  Craft Vendors including bags, candles, cheese, jewelry, crafts, Susquehanna Animal Shelter, Pony Rides, etc. Cooperstown Soccer Club, and more!

–  Selfie Station with fun props to win prizes using #wearecooperstown and #Cooptoberfest – Prizes also given for candid photos during the event!  (We are looking for gift certificates and donations for this!)

–  Apparel Station to purchase shirts!

–  Between 10 and 11 a.m. runners participating in the 3rd Annual Bassett Cupola 5K Run/Walk will be running coming up Pioneer Street by the flag pole.  Come cheer the runners on!

11 a.m. thru 3 p.m.– Chee Chee the Clown will entertain the crowd in the streets, balloon animals, and magic tricks!

– Brewery Ommegang Beer Truck will serve beer near Pioneer Park

12 p.m thru 4 p.m. – CNY Cornhole Tournament. $10 per 2-person team, teams are filling up quick!  Visit for more information on this tournament

4 p.m. – All activities will close up and break down will begin.  We hope to open up parts of the west side of Main Street as we can.

Cooperstown on Tap

4 p.m. thru 5 p.m. – VIP Tasting of approximately 100 different beers and ciders from across New York State.  Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. – General Admission, tickets can be purchased also at

Dusk – Light up Main Street!  Colorful lights will shine against Main Street buildings to provide a unique experience!

**Each ticket comes with a sampling glass, and unlimited samples of the product.  Food vendors will be present for purchase.  Vendors reserve the right to refuse to serve individuals deemed over-served.  All alcohol consumption during this event is to remain within the designated area.

Live Music on Paperkite Creative Stage

Throughout the day, local musical acts will be performing on the Paperkite Creative stage.  Below is the schedule of performers:

9:30 a.m. thru 11 a.m. – Miranda & The Old-Timers

11 a.m. thru 1 p.m. – Jeff Syman Band

1 p.m. thru 3 p.m. – Gravelyard Bluegrass Band

3 p.m. thru 4 p.m. – Iona Irish Dance (Will take place on the street near Doubleday Parking Lot Entrance)

4 p.m. thru 6 p.m. – Bourbon & Branch

6 p.m. thru 8 p.m. – The Mopar Cams

    Planning on my yearly trip ….have family history in Cooperstown….my great uncle was pastor of St. Mary’s of The Lake Church….always go back on a given Sat. to attend Mass…the fall is the best time of the year….sounds like a nice week-end.
