Fire and Blood Launch

UPDATE 4/14: B-21 has Fire and Blood in stock.

UPDATE 4/7: is sold out of Fire and Blood but Totalwine has it in stock.

UPDATE 4/2: We saw last night that has Fire and Blood in stock.

Finally, the day you all have been waited for is here, as March 31 marks the first official day of Fire and Blood sales. There are always a lot of questions floating around on how to get the beer so we thought it would be helpful to offer some tips and explain a few elements of the process.

Fire and Blood has three unique labels that are randomly distributed throughout the cases. Each bottle contains the same beer. Each case has at least one of each type of label.

Ommegang is currently not distributed in North Dakota, South Dakota, Mississippi, West Virginia, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming so unfortunately Fire and Blood Red Ale will also not be for sale in these states. Ommegang beers are only exported to a few provinces of Canada at the moment so Fire and Blood will only be available outside of the United States in British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

It is illegal for us to sell online or directly to customers who are not at the brewery, so we cannot do any online orders. We sell the beer from the brewery to distributors in each state who then sell to retailers (bars, grocery stores and other locations). There are a few websites that are allowed to sell beer directly to fans and we will post those them here as they come in.

The first available sales day is Monday, March 31st. Not all stores or bars will be launching the beer this day as their delivery time for this week may vary.

Our best advice is to call your local beer store first. The beer is going to sell very quickly in some places so before you trek out to find it, call ahead and make sure your store has it in stock before making any long journeys.

We have a beer finder that will show the locations that the beer has been sold to. The beer finder works by aggregating sales data from the distributor and it is uploaded often a few days after the sale into the account. With the great demand it might even be sold out by the time it is listed on our beer finder, so again we strongly encourage you to call your local retailers in advance.

We have a limited stock of the official Game of Thrones® Fire and Blood glassware available on our e-store.

We have more than tripled the amount of beer we have produced in the past in hopes that everyone is able to get a chance to purchase the beer. Happy hunting.

Very excited about this will you be posting a distribution list for each state like you did for Take the Black? So we know when too to be asking our local stores? I know my state got it a few weeks after release.

    Thanks abd looking forward trying!

Hi Katy, we asked all wholesalers in each state to hold the beer until today. So everywhere except the states we listed above will be getting the beer delivered sometime this week.

I was wondering is there is a way to find out to purchase the older game of throne beer. I just realized these were produced and would love to purchase the other varities as well

Hi Daniel, Unfortunately the previous Game of Thrones beers are all sold out.

I just got my 3 fire and blood Ales but the labels were all damaged. Is there anyway I can purchase the 3 different labels.

Hi Ryan, you will have to go back to the store that you purchased them at and ask if they will exchange.

Hi! Just picked up the Red Ale today. I think that gift pack with a glass (similar to the ones you already sell) with all of the Game of Thrones beers would be really epic. Just a friendly suggestion from a big fan! 🙂

The beer finder is not working for Fire and Blood. I searched 80013 where I live and there were no results. My friend bought a bottle within 25 miles of where we live, so I’m not sure what’s up. I also searched 13027 where my mother-in-law was looking and there were no results. I even searched the Ommegang zip code and there were no results. Has Fire and Blood been released in the Syracuse area?

Hi Justin, we had a few technical issues with the beer finder which have since been resolved. There are now several places carrying Fire & Blood showing up for the 13027 zip code.

Hello, April 4th and I still cannot find the Red Ale in what seems like the whole state of California, I have checked with zip code from friends and family all over the state and can’t find a store that has it. Can you help, Los Angeles county, Orange County or any where in Southern California. Please Cindy

Hi Cindy, we had some tech issues with the beer finder but those are now resolved. If you check now there are several results showing up for LA and Orange County.

  7. Alex

Hey – so the Beer Finder is telling me there’s literally not a single place in all of New York City that I can buy the GoT ale, or even TRY to buy it? That seems unlikely…

Hi Alex, we had some tech issues with the beer finder but those are now resolved. If you search now you will find them.

Hi, I purchased all three bottles from my local watering hole but apparently missed the Ommegang Rep who was handing out the metal coasters, just thought I would ask if any are available still?
Thank you for your time, hard work, and excellent beer!

Hi Samantha, unfortunately these were a one off piece we did for the launch event and we went through all of them already. Sorry.

Hello, friends! Is there any reason distributors may be holding back from delivering it to retail locations? Rumor has it in southern Louisiana that the distributor is not releasing it until next week. WHY MUST THEY TORMENT US THIS WAY? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Ommegang Post author

Not that we are aware of. We know that there are some variations in delivery days for distributors to accounts so that may be the issue.
