Mother of Dragons

Hi, friends.

The third beer in our Game of Thrones-inspired Royal Reserve Collection, Mother of Dragons, launches at the brewery and nationwide on Friday, September 28. Brewed and blended for a leader who takes what is hers with fire and blood, Mother of Dragons is a blend of a smoked porter and a Belgian kriek, representing the smoke and fire that Daenerys has unleashed on her opponents.

It is illegal for us to sell online or directly to customers who are not at the brewery, so we cannot take any online orders. We sell the beer from the brewery to distributors who then sell to retailers (bars, grocery stores and other locations). There are a few websites that are allowed to sell beer directly to fans and we will post those them here as they come in.

Ommegang is currently not distributed in Mississippi, Montana and Wyoming so unfortunately Mother of Dragons will not be for sale in these states. Distributors in the following states have ordered this release: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WV, Washington DC, and the U.S.V.I.

Outside of the United States, these beers may only be available in Ontario and Alberta, Canada. There is not currently a release date set for Canada. We’re working with our distributor there and we’ll update this post when/if we have one.

We have a beer finder that will show the locations that the beer has been sold to. The beer finder works by aggregating sales data from the distributor and it is uploaded often a few days after the sale into the account. With the great demand it might even be sold out by the time it is listed on our beer finder, so we strongly encourage you to call your local retailers to ask about availability before you drive around to find it. When you do find Mother of Dragons, you can tag a photo of the beer with #MotherOfDragonsBeer on social media to let friends know where you found it.

We can’t wait to hear that you think about our latest Game of Thrones-inspired release. Cheers!

Hi, I just bought the mother of dragons beer and looking forward to enjoying it with dinner time night. I did notice after looking through 2 cases that every single label on all bottles was damaged in some way. Please find a new labeler because I do like to display them after I drink them! I’ve noticed labels in the past have also looked pretty neat up in fresh cases. Thanks!!

The suggest retail price for this release is $12.99/750ml bottle. Beers are offered individually & not in a collection at this point. We’ll have a 4+1 gift pack coming out in late November. That will have a 12 oz bottle of each of the four Royal Reserve Collection beers plus a glass.

I’ve looked everywhere in North Texas area and no one has it. Your website lists 2 huge wine& beer stores, but they don’t have it eithe. Is this offering not going to be available in North TX ( Dallas-Fort Worth area)?

Just enjoyed Mother of Dragons today with my family. It was very delicious, smooth, with a strong initial taste of cherries and and a smoky finish. As I am a kriek lambic fan, I really enjoyed this one. Can’t wait for the four+one pack in November!

The beer finder was undergoing maintenance but it seems to be working now. Mother of Dragons is now available in GA so please try the beer finder again at your convenience.

Hi, I live in Houston and have had trouble finding this beer for some reason. All others in the GOT line have been fairly easy to find. I’ve used the beer finder and there aren’t any in stock within 100 miles of me. Any idea of when they might become available in H-Town?
