BOARDING HOUSE REACH sees Jack White expanding his musical palate with perhaps his most ambitious work thus far, a collection of songs that are simultaneously timeless and modern. Written and conceived while holed up in a spartan apartment with no outside distractions, White replicated the identical environment and used the same gear as when he was a 15 year old (a quarter-inch four-track tape recorder, a simple mixer, and the most basic of instrumentation) to pen sketches of the album’s songs. The album explores a remarkable range of sonic terrain — crunching rock ‘n’ roll, electro and hard funk, proto punk, hip hop, gospel blues, and even country — all remapped and born anew to fit White’s matchless vision and sense of restless experimentation. BOARDING HOUSE REACH is a testament to the breadth of Jack White’s creative power and his bold artistic ambition.

BOARDING HOUSE REACH is heralded by the rapidly acclaimed new single, “Connected By Love” b/w “Respect Commander,” which is available now digitally worldwide and as a physical 7-inch vinyl single pressed at Third Man Pressing in Detroit.

“Connected By Love” is accompanied by a brand-new music video from director Pasqual Gutierrez — watch it here. The single was greeted with rapturous global applause upon its arrival, with Billboard declaring the song “a classic White confessional blues burner,” and Entertainment Weekly calling it “a searing, organ-lined plea to a former flame.” NPR’s Bob Boilen wrote, “it’s a blend of old guitar blues that is simultaneously on the edge of rock’s horizon.” “The four-year wait is over,” says Rolling Stone –– Jack is back with the “blistering first single” from BOARDING HOUSE REACH.

Can you clarify how the numerous pre sales work with respect to camping passes? Are they all through the DSP website (and will camping passes also be availing pre-sale)?

Or will the camping passes only be available for purchase when the tickets go on sale to the general public?

In that case, if I purchase tickets through a pre-sale, will I also be able to purchase camping passes later when they go on sale?

    1. Ommegang Post author

Camping passes can be purchased online at dspshows.com or in person at the brewery during the DSP Shows pre-sale (which begins is this Thursday at 10 am) and regular ticket sales (which begin this Friday at 10 am) and they’re available until they sell out for $15/person. If you purchase your tickets via a fan pre-sale other than DSP Shows’, you’ll have to purchase your camping passes via DSP Shows or at the brewery on Thursday or Friday.

I purchased tickets through a pre-sale but camping wasn’t available as an add-on. Will separate camping passes be available through your site or DSP on January 26?

I can’t find any presale tickets anywhere. Ticketmaster is sold out, Third Man presale is sold out. Any suggestions.

DSP Shows’ pre-sale begins tomorrow at 10 am. They send the password out on Wednesdays to those signed up for their mailing list (https://www.dspshows.com/). Regular ticket sales begin Friday at 10 am via their website and the brewery store as well.

Just to clarify: with a camping pass, we allowed one night of camping on the night of this concert? Is entry to the grounds 5:00 or will we be allowed to enter before to set up camp? Thanks!

    1. Ommegang Post author

Correct, you are allowed one night of camping the night of the concert. We aim to open the camping area around 4 pm to allow time for set up before the gates open at 5 pm. Sound check and walk throughs can delay that a bit depending on the show but we do our best and welcome you to arrive in time to be let in at 4 pm if you’re camping.

Additional information for campers and ticket holders will be sent out closer to the show by DSP Shows so please keep an eye out for that.

The venue is open seating/standing on the lawn so that may be the gate price. The advanced price (purchased today during pre-sale and start tomorrow during regular sale) is $59.50.

It varies from concert to concert but there’s always room for blankets and chairs on the lawn and we increase amenities based on crowd size to try and keep lines as short as possible for things like the beer tent, food vendors, and the portapotties. As we get closer to the show, ticket holders will receive an email from DSP Shows with parking information, etc. This’ll help you plan your trip.

Hello, I have tickets for me and a friend along with camping passes for the Jack White concert. I will bring my 5 year old too (so I didn’t buy an entrance ticket for her). It says 5 and under are free for the concerts. I’ll be camping, so do I actually need to get a camping ticket for my 5 year old? I see everything is sold out already…and I didn’t think about this until now. Thank you.

There is wheelchair accessible parking near the entrance gate (just let a parking attendant know when you arrive and they’ll point you in the right direction.) There is space near the sound tent that is reserved for wheelchairs. It’s behind the standing area near directly in front of the stage and offer a good view of the performance.

I’ve heard about Jack Whites tour to include YONDR cellphone lockup devices. Will this be the case at your concert and if so how will this be handled. We’re bringing my son to his first concert and hope to be able to capture some pictures and video, etc… but are worried we’ll only be able to use our phones near the exits. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am appalled to find that tickets for Jack White are sold out!!!!! IN 3 DAYS? Sounds like very poor planning (marketing). As a NYS resident all my life enjoying this particular area many times, I expect to be able to enjoy a show in a state where I economically support it’s culture, industry, arts, recreation, and agriculture, not to mention it’s roads, bridges, infrastructure, and all the many components of what a great state is. THIS IS DEPLORABLE AND UGLY. I WILL NEVER COME TO Ommegang AGAIN!!!

We’re sorry you missed out on tickets for this show, Bobbi Lynn. We suggest you sign up for DSP Shows’ mailing list via their website https://www.dspshows.com/ to get announcement information about future shows both at Ommegang and other local venues.
