Meet Goat Milk Stout,
a collaboration with Beekman 1802

These chilly fall days have us turning to collaboration beers made and shared with friends. One of those beers that's close to home (and our hearts) is Goat Milk Stout, a collab with Beekman 1802, our friends and neighbors just up the road in Sharon Springs, NY. Read on to learn more about the collab and where to find Goat Milk Stout.

You may remember that we sampled two Beekman 1802 + Brewery Ommegang collaboration beers this summer: Goat Milk Stout and Pail Ale. Goat Milk Stout  was the clear fan favorite at the sampling events so we brewed and distributed the beer, which is now for sale in CT, GA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, plus Washington D.C. and the U.S.V.I.

Goat Milk Stout  is brewed with chocolate wheat malt, extra special malt, midnight wheat malt, roasted barley, flaked oats, and also with lactose, which adds sweetness to the 4.8% ABV beer.  It pours a deep brownish-black with a tan head. Bold aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and milk chocolate are immediately present, followed by a hint of caramel. The flavor opens with a mild sweetness that leads to notes of cold-brewed coffee, cocoa, and milk. Goat Milk Stout  was designed to pair with Beekman 1802’s award-winning line of delicious artisanal chèvre. You can make the most of a drinking session by trying it with their chèvre sampler pack, available on the Beekman 1802 web store. For main courses, pair Goat Milk Stout  with dark poultry like roast duck or with fatty fish like salmon or steelhead trout. For dessert, try it with macerated red berries or chocolate cheese cake.

Haven't had a chance to try Goat Milk Stout yet? Don't wait any longer and use our beer finder to locate retailers near your zip code: Beer Finder. You can also stop by the brewery in Cooperstown where we have not only Goat Milk Stout available but a variety of Beekman 1802 products such as tasty beer jelly made with Ommegang beer.
